In Adelaide, the new Rose Garden in Victoria Square, the first open-space event held on Cup Day in the CBD, was the city hub for racing celebrations with more than 1000 people filled the square for a day of local food, fashion and entertainment.
Rose Garden organiser Marcus Capaldo said he wanted to bring the trackside glamour to the city. “People want to get glammed up and be a part of the festivities, but not everyone is ultra keen on betting all day so the focus here is more on watching the race but enjoying the day with friends,” he said.
Commuserv was a Major Partner to the event, supplying over 20 custom built Point Of Sale systems that included pre-event configuration, on the day setup and installation, serivce and full take down once the event was complete.
